In the role as a Trainee, you will learn all aspects of becoming an Assistant Department Manager. Duties of an Assistant Department Manager include; responsibility for the direct supervision of department operations including providing customers service and assuring that associates are following company policies and procedures, assisting the Department Manager in achieving sales, gross profit, labor, shrink and inventory goals set for the department; product ordering, quality, presentation, merchandising, organization, pricing, stocking, staffing, training, turnover and morale. He/She must have excellent customer service skills, as he/she is the role model for other associates.
